My personal view and knowledge
Don't listen to world's noise, Listen to God's voice
The advantage of speaking in tongues
- is unselfish prayer
- connect your spirit with God's Spirit
-
Any association between Feng Sui and Christianity?
The OT is a shadow that point people to Jesus
All the measurement, articles and how they were placed and which direction they are placed and what color used are all pointing to Jesus
Did the NT mention anything about Feng Sui?
Jesus died facing the north. Does that means that we have to stay in a house that faces the north in order to be prosperous?

What is Rest? Why we need to be restful in the midst of challenges? Living a Carefree Live. Living a Let Go live
Rest..... is a weapon given to us by God. The enemy hates it because he wants you stressed and occupied.
What is Rest? Rest is not inactivity, Rest is God's directed activity. It's about emotional rest. Relax and not to worry. In solving the problems and challenges in live, let your mind be focusing on God, not your problem. Let your eyes beholding God, not your problem. Let God take care of you. Let God take care of the challenges you're facing. Let God direct your activities and handle the situation for you.
Philippians 4:6-7New American Standard Bible (NASB)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all [a]comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:7New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Matthew 6:25-34New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The Cure for Anxiety
25 “For this reason I say to you, [a]do not be worried about your [b]life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the [c]air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by being worried can add a single [d]hour to his [e]life? 28 And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But [f]seek first [g]His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be [h]added to you.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will [i]care for itself. [j]Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Live in the now. Don't live in the future by asking, "What if...." and don't live in the past by saying, "if only....." Don't waste your present moments. If you're spending time with a loved one, enjoy the moment Don't worry about that project deadline.
You may ask, "if I don't worry, then I'm not being responsible."
Well, let's look at your idea of "responsibility." If you're worried now about next week's responsibility as you spend time with your loved one, your loved one will not get the best of you because you are there physically but mentally, you are miles away! Secondly, when next week comes, your worring won't put you in a good state of mind to handle that responsibility well.
Beloved, to believe that by worrying you are being responsible is to believe a lie from the enemy! Jesus wants you worry free, anxiety free and carefree - every day (Matthew 6:25-34, Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:7)! Why? Because He is there to supply you with whatever you need. Do what you need to do, but refuse to worry and live each day like a child. Live in the NOW enjoying every precious moment you]ve been given because you have a faithful heavenly Father who will take good care of you!

Are the Jews, Muslim, Christians and Roman Catholic technically worshiping the same God?
The Jews worship the Almighty God like the Christians, are they saved?
Since the Jews observed the 10 commandments and all the Laws in the old testament, are they saved?
Since the Muslim and the Jews also worship the God of Abraham, are they saved?
Do the Jews believe in the Holy Spirit since they don't believe in Trinity?
The Jews believe that the Holy Spirit is the inspiration of God, it is also God's messenger. But never believe that the Holy Spirit is God as the Jews don't believe in Trinity.

Speaking or Praying In Tongue
Hey! In my time spent with God, I learnt more about the subject of speaking or praying in tongue and the benefits, hence, I was so excited that I have decided to write a blog about this subject.
Why speak in tongue or pray in tongue?
There is a slight difference between speaking in tongue and praying in tongue
When we speak in tongue, often in the public, we need someone to interpret, if not, the tongue spoken will not have any meaning an it can't edify anyone in public or the person whom we speak to.
1 Corin 14:13 NIV
For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says
But when we pray in tongue, we don't need a interpreter. This is because we are not speaking or praying to man, we are speaking and praying to God. God who design the tongue for each individual will obviously understand what we are praying about. In fact, it is He who help us to pray or intercede for us when we pray in an unknown language.
1 Corin 14:2 NIV
For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit
Tongue is one of the many spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit
1 Corin 12:7-10
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
It is the simplest and most basic gift
Can anyone have the gift of tongue?
Yes of course. Because it is the simplest gift to achieve.
What do we expect the Holy Spirit to do before we can speak or pray in tongue?
Do we wait for God to zap us or expect something to happen as a indication that God is giving us this spiritual gift of tongue? Do we expect the earth to shake, expect fire come down from heaver, expect some sensational feelings like my body feel warm, my tongue feel warm etc before we can be filled with the Holy Spirit and start praying or speaking in tongue?
Of course NO. Just like a small child want to learn to speak, first start of with "ge ge, ga ga", then as time progress, they start to have more syllabus, more words, more sentences and then they start to pick up a language. Likewise. we need to have a desire to speak like a child, then we can start using ge ge, ga ga" to start our new praying language.
Can everyone can have this gift?
Yes of course. Anyone and everyone can have the gift of tongue to speak to God and for self edification.
How to speak in tongue?
As I have explain earlier, start with a desire and start speaking. When you decide to start you can start, when you decide to stop, you can stop. You can switch between tongue and the language you know.
1 Corin 14:15
So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind
Why should one speak or pray in tongue?
When we pray in tongue, we let our spirit pray and not our mind. Our mind has limited language and vocab, so what we can pray is limited by the language we know. But when we pray in the spirit and not our mind, that open up the spiritual realm and God gives us that language to pray to Him.
1 Corin 14:14
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful
Why allow our mind to be unfruitful in our prayer?
So that we can pray without ceasing. Focus on what we are doing, example driving, and yet still praying and speaking to God. Praying in tongue is speaking to God. 1 Corin 14:2
The Benefit
* Edify ourselves
1 Corin 14:4
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself
* Speaking to God directly
1 Corin 14:2 NIV
For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit

Sin Consciousness vs Righteous Consciousness
Genesis 3:9
Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him "Where are you?"
Genesis 3:8-11
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LordGod among the trees of the garden.
9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
* Are you Sin Conscious or Righteous Conscious?
* Were Adam and Eve naked all the while?
* Did Adam and Eve naked only when they were disobedient to have ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
* Why didn't Adam and Eve aware of their nakedness before their disobedient when they had fellowship with God everyday?
* Didn't Adam and Eve hang out with God daily in the cool of the day in their nakedness before their disobedience?
Disobedient (Sin) caused us to be sin-conscious, be introspective, Self-condemning, then we run away from God or hide from God's presence. Don't feel worthy to meet God or face up to Him
The physical awareness of our nakedness is the same as our spiritual sin-consciousness and see ourselves unworthy of God.
Prior to Adam's act of disobedience, when God am into the garden, he would hang out with God without any sense of uncleanness.
Lesson learnt
Sin-consciousness only made us run away from God or hide from God, feeling a sense of uncleanness and unworthiness. Don't dare to face Him or hang out with Him in the cool of the day.
The Solution
New International Version Rom 5:19
For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam), the many (all of us) were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous
We are called sinner not because we sin or our disobedience. It was because of Adam's disobedience. Not our doing, but what Adam had done. We are not sinners in the first place. We were MADE sinners because of Adam
Hence, we are called the righteous not because we do righteous things or we are obedient. It was because of Christ's Obedience. Not our doing, but what Christ had DONE on the Cross. We were MADE righteous because of Christ.
Our Response
New International Version Rom 8:1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
Know that once we are in Christ, there is No More condemnation. Hence, don't have to be sin-conscious. But look to Jesus and what He has done, and be righteous conscious and be in fellowship with Him and hang out with Him on a daily basis, don't run away from Him or hide from Him or afraid of Him, then we can live our Christian live in joy and in favor of God and in holiness.
The word Holy is set apart and untouchable by others. We exclusively or only belong to Christ and God. Nothing can remove us from the relationship and fellowship because the covenant had been sealed by blood shed and by God's own blood.
New International Version Phi 3:9
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ--the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
Know that the righteousness that we had gained, not from our obedient to the law, but Christ's obedience to the law, and because and purely because of our faith and confession of Christ that we are made righteous.
Be assured by the word and promises of God
New International Version Hebrews 10:17
Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
So come out of our sin-consciousness, our hiding places and hang out boldly with God. It's in His presence that we are empowered, refreshed and recharged. It's in His presence that we receive from Him!
God will help man to find his spouse. Man just need to relax in God
Gen 2:7 God made the 1st human being
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person.
Gen 2;18-20
18. Then the Lord God said,"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him."
19. So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them and the man chose a name for each one.
20. ----------- But still there was no helper just right for him.
God has a sense of humor
God created wild animals and birds of the sky to be the right helper (spouse) for Adam. Until experiment was enough, concluded there is no helper among the animals and birds just right for Adam, then God create woman, the right helper.
Here we see that God was trying to find Adam a helper (spouse). God created various kinds of animals and bird for Adam to choose one to be helper. Fortunately, Adam didn't satisfied with wild animals or birds of the air to be his helper (spouse). If not, it will be very funny now.
Here we saw that God created and brought them to Adam to allowed him to choose for himself a helper and named them at the same time. Happened that Adam was smart enough not to have chosen the animal or bird to be helper, hence, God finally cause the man to go into a deep sleep, from his rib, God created a suitable helper. When Adam worked up from the sleep, his respond was, "this is bone of my bone, fresh of my fresh," and Adam named her Woman.
If we learnt the important of 1st mention in the bible.
- Here we saw that Adam had a choice (not the general idea that Adam had no choice but to pick the woman as his spouse).
- Here we also saw that Adam didn't go out to seek for a spouse, it was God who brought her in front of Adam and asked Adam was she suitable to be his helper.
- Here we also saw that there is no effort from Adam, he rested. God caused him into a deep sleep, then it was God's effort and initiative to take from his body and form a woman and brought her before his eyes.
Will the Holy Spirit (HS) jump in and out of the us (the temple of the HS)?
Will the Holy Spirit (HS) jump in and out of the us (the temple of the HS)?
Are Christians justified (made Holy and Righteous) by Faith or by our Self-Righteousness (Work)?
The bible said our body are the temple of the HS, The HS is so holy that He will not feel comfortable residing in if there is a little bit of stain of sin. If our sins (past, present and future) are not completely cleansed, the HS will be jumping in and out of our body. Once we confessed our sin, He will be in. Once we sin again and not confessed yet, He will be out of the temple until we confess our sins. But, we are only confessing those we know and based on our standard of knowing, what about those sins we don't know and based on our own standard, we did not recognized those areas are sins? If we have a wrong perception and wrong opinion of God, how can we live our Christian lives correctly and how can we leave in peace with God?
English Standard Version Rom 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This verse is very clear
- We are justified by faith, not by our doing. When we have faith in Christ, we are justified already.
- When we are justified, God and us had made peace through Jesus' death. Therefore, God is no longer angry with us. When God want to be angry because of our sin, God no longer looking at our sin, He looked at Jesus on the cross, the finished work of Jesus on the cross had justified us. Therefore, God can never see a stain of sin in us. Hence, God sees us holy and the Holy Spirit sees us holy and peacefully dwell in our body, who is the temple of the Holy Spirit permanently.
Law & Grace
Law & Grace
Does the bible consistent or contradicting?
From the law, you draw wisdom
Why the bible want us to rightly or accurately dividing or handling the word of truth (Law & Grace)?
In 2 Tim 2:14, Paul told the people stop fighting or quarreling over the word of God, then He told the people to do the best to be diligent in studying the word of truth by rightly dividing the word of truth.
American King James Version 2 Tim 2:15
Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
Young's Literal Translation 2 Tim 2:15
Be diligent to present thyself approved to God -- a workman irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of the truth
Holman Christian Standard Bible 2 Tim 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth
New International Version 2 Tim 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
New Living Translation 2 Tim 2:15
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth
When the word of truth is rightly divided, it will automatically be correctly taught, accurately handled and explained.
New International Version John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
New Living Translation John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses, but God's unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ
Can the Law save us?
Are we guided by law or grace or both?
Do we want to subject ourselves under law or grace or both?
Why God create the law or give the Law through Moses?
What is the purpose of the OT Law?
Who to fulfill the law?
How the OT people saved?
Are the OT people saved in the first place?
The OT people have faith in God or in Christ?
Are the OT people monotheist or trinity people?
Are the OT people live under law or under grace?
Are the OT people knows Jesus?
OT NT NT
Law Jesus time After Jesus
100% Law Law & Grace 100% Grace
Why the bible want us to be dead to the Law?
What does dead to the law means?
Why God set up the law in the first place? What is the purpose of the Law?
Does the Law has any more effect on us?
What is the purpose of the NT?
Why the bible want us to be dead to the Law?
The Law has no effect on us because we are dead to the Law. But it has relevant to us because the NT cannot stand alone. It needs the OT Law in order for the full effect of Christ to be revealed in the NT.
God want us to be dead to the Law in order for us to 100% focus on Jesus (who is the Gospel of Grace)
Why God set up the Law in the first place?
Without the OT Law, there won't be NT (Grace). The NT is the continuation of the OT. The Jews stopped at OT Law. In fact, the OT is Judaism that the Jews followed phanetically.
The Jews see God in the NT, however, they can't see Christ in NT. People are not anti-God, but they are anti-Christ.
Because the OT is Christ concealed, in order to have the NT, Christ revealed.
The Law (Under Law) The Gospel of Grace (Under Grace)
- An eye for an eye, A tooth for a Tooth - If someone slap your right cheek, offer your left as well
- Constantly doing - Done
- Condemnation - No Condemnation
- Christ Concealed - Christ revealed
- Shadow/Image - Substance
- Our love for God - God's love for us
- Conditional (Love & Blessings) - Unconditional
- Demand - Supply
- Bring sacrifice ever year - Once and for all
- 3000 died on Mt Sinai - 3000 saved on Mt Zion
- Love is powerless over law - Law is powerless over love
- Sin is contagious - Love is contagious
- Holiness is the root, righteousness - Righteousness is the root, holiness
is the fruit is the fruit
- Repentance is the root, God's favor - God's favor (Grace) is the root,
(Grace) is the fruit Repentance is the fruit
Under Law, the king who loved Daniel, need to throw Daniel into the lion's den because
Daniel 6:12
The king answered, “The decree stands—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.”
Under grace, Jesus (who is the King of kings), who loves the world has fulfilled all the law so that the law become powerless over the love of Jesus.
Under Law, in the OT, when the clean touched the unclean (the dead, the leper), the clean will become unclean. Under grace, when the clean (Jesus), touched the unclean (the leper), the unclean (leper) became cleaned and healed.
Under Law, when the cleaned touched the uncleaned (the dead), the cleaned become uncleaned
Under Grace, when the uncleaned touched the cleaned (Jesus), the uncleaned become cleaned
Do we want to subject ourselves to come under law or come under grace?
Why God create the law or give the Law through Moses?
What is the purpose of the Law? Why God gives the Law through Moses?
New International Version John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
New Living Translation John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses, but God's unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ
- Christ concealed (as the lamb), the OT people need to practice yearly atonement.
- During Jesus time, He added on to the 10 commandment because the Jews felt that they have fully obeyed the Law, they don't need Christ.
- To bring people to the end of themselves so that they feel that they need Jesus as Savior
- The law is only applicable for sinners (those who are anti-Christ or don't believe in Christ), the law has no effect on those who are righteous (those who believe in Christ become the righteousness of God in Christ), believers live under grace, no longer living under law.
Matt 5:21-22 (NIV)
21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[b][c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Matt 5:27-30 (NIV)
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e]
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
What is the purpose of the OT Law?
The OT Law is preparatory and transition, prepare the way for Christ and prepare us to see Christ. Transition in the sense that it was the temporal way to justification until the real substance (Christ) come. OT people depends on the Law for justification. As for Apostle Paul, for Jews to return to practicing the Law is sin.
Who to fulfill the law? Matt 5:17-18 (NIV)
The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
There is no way we can fulfill the law, the law is set up by God for Jesus Himself to fulfill every single bit of it. Once Jesus fulfilled the whole law. It is finished and done. Those who believe by faith will become the righteousness of God in Christ.
New American Standard Bible 2 Cor 5:21
He (God) made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (Christ)
The OT people have faith in God or in Christ?
The people in OT and NT, they are not anti-God, they are anti-Christ
What is the purpose of the NT?
- To replace the OT. Replace means OT has no effect, but OT has relevant.
Why the bible want us to be dead to the Law?
What does dead to the law means?
Gal 2:19-21 (NIV)
19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”[e

Bible questions and promises
What did Jesus means when He said His disciples "Man of little faith"
Ans: This phrase was only used on His disciples, because they saw too many miracles Jesus had performed, yet they didn't have faith in Him. Whereas, the common people had so much faith in Him
Mk: 6:45-56, Mt 14:22-33, Lk 6:16-21
Jesus walked on water, disciples terrified, they missed learning and seeing Jesus is God when Jesus had just fed the 5000. When He crossed over, the common people learnt of His presence, their faith was so great that they brought the sick and even touch the fringe of His garment, they believe they will get healed.
When the common folks saw the signs of Jesus, they believe, they didn't doubt. But the disciples saw the signs, they didn't believe, or they doubted

What is trinity?
What is ONE in the bible?
3 distinct persons United into 1, tri in unity
Gen 2:24, man and woman, they United into One
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:4-6)
Did Jesus claim to be God?
He claimed to be son of God, and calling God his father, making himself equal to God. John 5:18
He claimed to be I AM. John 8:58. I AM in the burning bush, Ex 3:14
He claimed to be the only way to God
He claimed to be aloha and omega, Rev1:17-18
He claimed to be the living one, Rev 1:17-18
He claimed that He and the Father are one
“‘I and the Father are one.’ Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, ‘I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?’ ‘We are not stoning you for any of these,’ replied the Jews, ‘but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God’” (John10:30–33).
Caiaphas the high priest asked Him: “‘Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus. ‘And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven’” (Mark14:61–62)
The purpose of the Law
Rom 3:19-20
19 Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given (those whom they thought they don't need a savior), for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.
20 For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
Do we throw out the law? Rom 3:31
31 Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about (throw out) the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.
Matthew 7:12, "Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets."
Paul can say in 1 Corinthians 13:3, "If I give away all I have and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing."
Blasphemy is stoned to death, not by crucifixion
Why then Jesus was crucified? Cursed is the one who hung on a tree. Jesus received all the curses of the law
Abraham saw Jesus
Jesus claimed that Abraham saw him, and before Abraham even born, He is the I AM
John 5:58, Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!"
Did Abraham saw Jesus?
Who were the 3 guess Abraham welcomed?
Abraham was justified by faith in Christ
Gen 18:1-2
1 The Lord appeared again to Abraham near the oak grove belonging to Mamre. One day Abraham was sitting at the entrance to his tent during the hottest part of the day. 2 He looked up and noticed three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he ran to meet them and welcomed them, bowing low to the ground.
3 “My lord,” he said, “if it pleases you, stop here for a while.
4 Rest in the shade of this tree while water is brought to wash your feet
The LORD Jesus appeared to Abraham, with 2 angels
Gen 19:1
1 That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there, and when he saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed with his face to the ground.
2 “My lords,” he said, “come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night.
Lot called the 2 Angels "My Lords"
Matt 5:17-20 Jesus teaches the Law of Moses and throughout the whole Chap 5
Jesus fulfilled the law, that's why all the curses accompanied with fulfilling the law fell upon Jesus
If u choose to be under grace, u will be protected by grace, u will be a subject of grace, u will subject yourself to only blessings because u believe in the finished work of Christ to have absorbed n took upon himself all the curses n wrath of God
Justification by faith, sanctions by faith
Salvation Yes, God's wrath No, God curse No
If u choose to come under law or a mixed, u will be protected by your believe, u will be a subject of law, u will subject yourself to both curses n blessings because believe in the unfinished work of Christ to have absorbed n took upon himself all the curses n wrath of God. Along with salvation because of Grace, there are curses,
Justification by faith, sanctions by work
Salvation Yes, God's wrath yes, God curse Yes
If one choose to be under law, he must be under all, cursed are those people who are under law
Unbelieving Jews, Gentiles
Salvation No, God's wrath yes, God curse Yes
I think part of the difficulty comes as a bit of confusion as to what is meant by the law and its application.
When the law was introduced, it was never intended to be the instrument by which man would save himself, but it was the instrument through which man was to be saved. In a very real sense, man is saved through the fulfilment (keeping) of the law. When Christ fulfilled the law, he earned the privilege of life. Those who are in Christ, likewise, share in his righteousness and are delcared righteous right along side him. In that sense, the law has always stood and and will continue to stand.
That being said, though, it's important to realize that we basically choose whether the law applies to us individually or not -- through grace, we can choose to be in Christ, or we can choose to stand on our own merits when we're judged. In that sense, too, the law still stands.
Paul talks a good deal about this in the book of Romans, and the whole book gives a much more complete (and competent :) ) version of an explanation that I'm about to...
I think it's important to realize the role of the law. I'm going to jump arount a bit, but if we start with Romans 7:7-12, I think we can make a little more sense of this (emphasis mine):
Romans 7:7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." 8But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. 12So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.
For apart from law, sin lies dead
If there is no law (without the law), sin is dead.
What is dead to sin?
Dead to sin is dead to the law
Before u believe in Christ, u are subject to the law, so as to you will know sin. Sin will make you know that you need a Savior
But when you believe in Christ, you are righteous, you don't need the law to remind you of your sin, hence, you should be dead to the law, in order to focus on your faith
We are righteous (justified) by faith n sanctified by faith
Not righteous by faith, but sanctified (made holy) by law (work)
Righteousness (justification) is the root, holiness (sanctification) is the fruit
Not
holiness (sanctification) is the root, Righteousness (justification) is the fruit
If we trust that righteousness is a gift by faith in Christ, holiness will follow automatically when time is given and process is allowed, when there is no condemnation during the process.
*** Can our unholiness cancel out our righteousness in Christ?
The first commandment, do not eat the tree of the fruit of the knowledge n evil
The first sin was disobedience
Satan first strategy is lie "you shall not surely die"
This made God a liar, when God said you will die
God didn't want man to have knowledge of good and evil?
The first curse is work
The second curse is birth pain and battle between satan and seed (Jesus). The battle belong to God
The third curse is craw with belly
Adam and Eve were completely righteous because they were made by God. How did they became sinner? Did they kill? Did they commit adultery? It's simply disobedient
The definition of sin is disobedient
God created Adam and Eve and command them to be fruitful and multiply before the fall, why didn't they obey until after the fall?
why no reproduction (procreation) before adam and eve sinned
why God didn't give adam and eve children before the fall?
Why after sinned, both Adam and Eve felt ashame when naked?
Gen 2:25 The man and his wife both naked, but they felt no shame, before the fall
Their mind was innocent and uncorrupted, after the fall, their mind become corrupted, made them felt shameful and hid from God
Did God asked Adam to choose helper among the animals?
Can animals talked during Adam's time. Since the snake talked
Did satan entered the snake?
God planted the tree of life and tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the garden. Could Adam and Eve eat from the tree of life?
Adam n Eve can eat any tree (including the tree of life), accept the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:9, Gen 2:16-17
Why God didn't want us to have the knowledge of good and evil?
If Adam and Eve ate from the tree of life, they didn't need salvation.
Did God curse Adam when He cursed the ground?
Before Adam and Eve sinned, they were righteous, they were naked, yet they have no sexual desires, their mind were innocent
When they sinned, they became introspective and saw their nakedness as shameful. When they were righteous mindset, they didn't see nakedness as shameful. Their mindset were changed.
Did God reject Cain or reject the gift?
Cain's wickedness was not overnight. He killed his brother and rudely told God was he his brother's keeper. Jealousy
Matt 23:35, Jesus called Abel righteous and prophet Luke 11:51
Heb 11:4, Pual said Abel was acted by faith, Abel's offering gave evidence that he was righteous, not Abel's action, good work or character
Heb 11:6, faith is evidence of pleasing God
Abel was righteous by faith, God accepted Abel because of his faith.
Cain was wicked and disobedient to God, evidence of his killing and argue with God.
God cursed Adam and He cursed Cain
Why Cain said anyone who saw me will kill me when he was the 3rd person on earth?
Were there other human beings around or was Cain refers to animals?
Cain probably thought way ahead, when more of Adam n Eve children were born, those siblings would avenge Abel
Adam and Eve could have given birth to many daughters, but daughters mostly not mentioned. The daughters might also avenge Abel
Gen 4:7, this also explained how Cain found his wife, probably the daughter of Adam and Eve.
“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Is it not enough for Christ to die on the cross to save us? Must He need to go through the suffering n humiliation?
Take away this bitter cup from me? What is this bitter cup? Must He drink from the bitter cup in order to save us?
- the process of suffering (pain n torment) n humiliation (shame)? A slow pain n shame n torturing death
- the wrath of God temporarily fell on Him? Isaiah 51:17: “Wake up, wake up, O Jerusalem! You have drunk the cup of the LORD’s fury. (Fierce judgement n wrath)
- the fellowship with God was temporarily broken?
- the temporary forseekeness of God, My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?
Bible Promises
Eph 3:20
Now unto him Who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
immeasurably (infinitely, exceeding abundantly) more than, above and beyond,
What is God's plan and God's will?
Eph 3
Eph 3:6
And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
Jer 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Thessalonians 5:16-18 teaches, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
You want to know Christ
Phi 3:10
I want to know Christ--yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
The Divine Exchange
For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that *we might be made the righteousness of God in him.* - 2 Corinthians 5:21
*Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:* for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: -Galatians 3:13
*That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ;* that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. -Galatians 3:14
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: *because as he is, so are we in this world.* - 1 John 4:17
Wow! Because of the Finished work of Christ on the cross, these are the Divine Exchanges summed up man ️
Christ took our sins in exchange for Christ's righteousness in us
Christ redeemed us from curses in exchanged for the exceeding abundant blessings
From the judgement fear of God in exchanged for the perfect love of God
Now we are certain n confidently declare "As Christ is, so are we in this world". Amen!
